BES Quarterly Science Meeting – Biodiversity (Virtual)
April 11 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
We are planning the Baltimore Ecosystem Study Quarterly Science Meeting for April 11th from 9:00am to noon. The meeting will be virtual to allow as many folks to attend as possible and focus on 1) building our urban biodiversity community of research and practice and 2) identifying opportunities for collaboration and new projects.
The meeting will include 5 minute overviews from participants of their urban biodiversity interests. We will also have longer, biodiversity talks if there are folks with data that are willing to share and time allows. Lastly, we will have breakout groups to discuss existing data, practitioner questions, and brainstorm new projects.
As the Baltimore Ecosystem Study enters this new phase, we are very much looking to bring new folks and perspectives interested in Biodiversity Science into this collaborative network. We invite all scientists and practitioners to participate, but would especially love to hear from those who:
1) currently work on or with urban biodiversity (no previous affiliation with BES needed!)
2) are starting out or interested in moving into or learning more about this area
3) do not work on or with urban biodiversity per se BUT are interested in meeting collaborators that do
